Ok, after copious experimentation I have finally managed to get this apparatus to function, sort of, on a laptop of mine and I can get the head tracking in FSX. Two significant problems remain

1) No matter where I "set zero" (which doesn't seem to me to make any difference, actually) whenever the cockpit view opens in FSX I am facing directly the back of the cockpit when I am facing my computer straight on. In other words, it is totally 180 degrees reversed. Any idea why? I can get a forward view by rotating my chair 180 degrees, but then for cable reasons and the fact that the keyboard is behind me, that isn't much use. Again, I did all the callibration with temples open and facing the computer screen, moving through all axes. The result is consistent...it ALWAYS shows up exactly 180 reversed when the cockpit view appears ???

*As an important aside, let me say that this 180 degree reversal problem is *NOT* solved by simply turning the Vuzix 180 degrees and doing the calibration like that. Also sometimes it's not 180, but it always seems to be facing somewhere between straight out the right cockpit window round to the very back wall of the cockpit.

2) The viewing frame "freezes" often and holds for two or three second before going back into motion again.

Hello!

I'm experiencing similar difficulties with my FSX SP2 with the Vuzix iWear VR92.  Any calibration I do with the tool seems to have no effect in the game.  Actually, it seems to have no effect in the monitor as well.  In the calibrator utility everything looks perfect.  But when I open up the monitor the numbers are not ramping up or going down correctly.  It seems to parallel the behavior I see in FSX.

I just recalibrated and now I'm facing 180...but it's quite jumpy.  In the calibration tool it's quite smooth...  Don't get it.  Some calibration file not moving over.  BTW, I'm using Windows 7.

I had alot of problems with the tracking in FSX as well. I'd use the Vuzix calibration tools and it I would never be facing forward in the game. I used the control f7 in game menu and selected a different driver and it worked a little better though. At least I was facing forward.

Might be a little late, but turn off the User Account Control in the Windows User Accounts menu on the Control panel..

After some while I got my VR920 out of its box, dusted it off and reinstalled it to play FSX today and ended up with the same problem. After consulting the forum I found no help and started fiddling on my pc. I realized that I had upgraded to 7 since I last used the VR920 and also noticed that even though I calibrated and zeroed it several times it wouldn't change the tracking numbers on the Vuzix Monitor. And then it struck me. Windows 7 ramped up the User Account Control and made it even more difficult for programs to change files. After setting it to the lowest level, and restarting, suddenly the Vuzix Monitor started responding to calibration changes and it fixed the zero point in FSX.
