| The wrap series WAS going to be see through, but they changed it to opaque before release.
I don't what the problem that kept them from using there "See Thru"™ Quantum Optics. But as they are still planing on using it on later release I'm guess it's not that see-through HMDs are like wearing scratched sunglasses. |

| | There is always a risk of cannibalizing on the sales of your old product series when releasing new tech. Even competitors will have "silent agreements" to spoonfeed the public incremental upgrades of yesterware. Nothing really "new" comes out unless there is some kind of turbulence on the market/tech scene, either in the form of a genuinely new idea getting funding (very rare indeed), some large player getting involved in a new area (Apple iphone), a competitor with faltering sales in the incumbent tech getting "trigger-happy" (Motorola Droid) or maybe a public outcry for something we really, really want (unlikely as people seem content beeing flooded with junk-tech with shiny brands). Therefore I was pleasantly surprised when the initial demos where released. Finally "see-thru" AR!! Could this really be true? But nah... |

| | To Vuzix: We want "Quantum Optics" and we know about the "Blade" stuff. Can't you be convinced to release your optical see-through tech? We know you have it... Please? Can't you tell your investors it's just not good enough with camera see-through and that the real thing is needed out here? ...Please? |

| The production model of the Wrap 920 is not see thru.
Simply put, when a product is ready to be released, then it will be released.

| This whole business of the "see-through" part of the Wraps falling away really frustrated me. It made me mad enough to try and do something about it. And I have to some extent actually succeeded.
Since my last visit I have made a pair of dataglasses that fit my own basic needs. See these posts:

Hope this will stir the pot!

Yes, that is a fair request. Seems I can´t post photos here, so put some pictures of my son wearing the glasses on Team Hackaday:
