I want to buy VR920 goggles, but after reading the FAQ and description on the vuzix site I am a bit confused.
I have a HP Pavillion laptop with Vista and Nvidia 9200 Go
What will work on it?
I am interested mostly in games - popular like HL2, Doom3, Prototype, Crysis, etc.
Most of them are described as option 2 in support list, which is:
1 - Native Mode Vuzix 3D Stereo Driver Support
2 - iWear Extension Vuzix 3D Support
3 - Nvidia Stereoscopy
So, do I understand correctly, that there is no native support for these games? But what is iWear Extension Vuzix 3D?
And for Nvidia Stereoscopy do I need 8800 GT, 9800 GT or 200 card only? So i would not work on 9200 Go?

1 - Native mode was made for a very few games, however in most cases iWear Extension support works flawlessly as if it was native. I've tried HL2 and Crysis and they worked great in "iWear Extension Vuzix 3D Support". Doom3 must work great also. I've didn't managed to run prototype in stereo.
You can read here how to setup crysis perfectly for VR920:
http://forums.vr920.com/Topic3589-2-1.aspx

2 - iWear Stereoscopy - that's actually alternative D3D9.dll or D3D8.dll with some settings you can tweak to get better results, but you don't need to actually bother as long as you liked the standard off-the-box effect. Vuzix have special software "iWear Monitor" that allow you to turn on/off VR920 support for any game mentioned in list.

But, you can turn on stereo for many more games than mentioned, here on forum you can find complete instructions and configs for many other games.
For example I've used VR920 stereo in "Batman Arkham Asylum" and "DCS Ka-50", that not in the list.

3 - NVidia stereoscopy will works only on 7950 GeForce maximum in WinXP. Because in newer versions of stereo-driver (for newer videocards) NVidia disabled output to other devices than Zalman stereomonitors and they're own shutter glasses. Sad but true.
