Hi

I am new to Vuzix and I don't have yet an equipment.
I wish to prepare a 3D video to present my services. I wish to place the video on a DVD player connected to an iWear AV920 or whatever is best, so that my customers can see it.
Question 1.- Does this make sense? Would the viewing be impressive?
Question 2.- I wish combine this with high quality headphones such as Senheisser 555 to get also a perfect sound. Would the headphones interfere with the iWear AV920 or whatever is the best viewer?
Thanks in advance?

If you are doing presentations for a large number of people then you should really be looking into building a dual projector passive-polarized rig. It will cost you an arm and a leg, but will be professional theater quality. If you are looking for something to take with you there is also a 3D laptop that recently came out you might be interested in (Acer Aspire 5738DZG). That said the AV920 is not the worst solution, although the Wrap 920 is probably a better option. If you want something that is portable it is surely the smallest thing you can get (especially coupled with an iPod). The Vuzix headphones can be removed so thats not a problem. In terms of if it would be impressive, I guess that really depends on how impressive your content is. For playing 3D video it does look pretty good though, my only complaint is that the virtual screen size could be a lot bigger. Vuzix advertises it as a big-screen experience but it looks more like watching a movie on a laptop. Still not bad for the size and price, but you are not going to jack into the matrix with this kit. Hope that helps.

Thank you very much for a very helpful piece of information. The presentations will be made to a single person or, at most, to two people. In addition, I will not have space, so from what you say this is an acceptable solution.
It is good to know in advance that the images won’t be great, so as not to have false expectations.
I still have one last doubt. Since this presentation will be made to different people, I am worried with possible crosscontamination of the eyes. My idea was to use the iWear and have two or three lightshields, assuming that they would be the only parts in contact with the person and could be washed. Is that a correct assumption? Is the Wrap in contact with the person? Can you clean the part in contact? I would prefer to follow your Wrap suggestion.
Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Well I only have the VR920 (same hardware as the AV920) and I haven't got to try the Wrap yet (I'm saving). In terms of the VR/AV920 you have the lightshield and also the nose-piece which are in contact with the face. I guess technically the arms will be touching the ears too (plus the headphones if you really want to get into it). Honestly I doubt it is too much of an issue. Unless you are using this in a hospital on sick patients then you likely will not run into an issue. If you want to be careful then just get some disinfecting wet-wipes and clean the glasses after each use. Although if you did get multiple lightshields it would be pretty quick to swap them out. However if you are not using the lightshield then the glasses barely touch the face (only really the nose-piece, which can be removed and washed). It appears the Wrap920 is the same way, although I do not know if the nose-piece can be removed.

Again, I have not tried the Wrap 920 yet so I don't know how they compare. However the form factor appears a bit smaller and more stylish so it could make for a better presentation. At the same time though I don't think it will be the same immersive experience as with a VR920 using the lightshield. It also depends what kind of content you wish to show. The Wrap 920 is only really useful for ipod/portable dvd player support. Not for the PC. It really depends what you are looking for.

Thanks Cybereality
You have been very helpful. It is now clear that what makes sense is the Wrap 920 with an iPod or CD player.
It is great to have people like you helping newbies like me.
