I'm writing a 3D application based on openGL and I want to provide support for as many 3D devices as possible. I own a set of the VR920 glasses and thanks to the SDK should be able to provide support for these, but I would like to make it useable but other systems (shutter glasses, etc).

Does anyone have any advice on this? Should I just alternate displaying the left eye then right eye and hope for the best? Is there some generic function call I can make to broadcast i'm now displaying the right eye?

Any help at all is greatly appreciated!

There is no "standard" way to communicate with stereoscopic devices, there was old NVidia stereo driver, but now you can make such universal support only by adding support in your program for each device you want to use separately.
However, I hope, stereo support implemented in VR920 will work in newer VR goggles of Vuzix.
