| Hi Vuzix team,
Thanks for the awesome products. I am glad to see that HMDs are still making good progress.
To help choosing the right device, it would be great if you could post the native resolutions for each device. Or is it posted somewhere already?
Personally, I'm looking for the highest definition available. My primary usage would be reading/browsing/writing, and secondary would be watching movies. So I'm more inclined towards monocular displays, but binocular is ok too. And I wear prescription glasses.
Cheers,
Julien

| If you go to the product page for any Vuzix eyewear model and look at the Specifications tab you will find the native resolution of the display. unfortunately that alone does not indicate the true quality of the display as two 640 x 480 displays can deliver different levels of clarity, color and more.
Also, if all you are interested in is the native resolution of the displays, just look at the model number. As an example, the AV230, AV310 and AV920 each indicate the monitor pixel count in their model number. |

| The highest res you are going to get is 640x480 (with the VR920). It can accept a higher signal (either 800x600 or 1024x768) but it just scales it down to its native res. 800x600 is probably usable in windows but 1024x768 is not. The text gets garbled and its difficult to navigate around. The VR920 is good for playing games and you can certainly watch movies but for productivity applications it falls short. Its just that the resolution is low and the virtual screen size is not so big, so this makes it hard to read text, hard to write text (since you can't see the keyboard) and just generally not a fun experience. You can do it, for sure, and I could see some instances where you might be willing to deal with it (mobile applications maybe) but if you are at home you are better off with a decent monitor. Vuzix is working on a VR1440 model so maybe things will change when that comes out, but with current models its hard for me to give a recommendation for your purposes.
