Windows Vista (2 seperate computers), up to date firmware I think+up to date software (2.4).

The headset works for a few seconds, then both screens go white. If I fiddle with the dial on the headset it eventually goes blue & I can bring up the menu, if I go to the one with 3 options (both/L/R) and go to L or R the display comes back to life with a static image, I can then go back to both and it works again (for a few seconds).

Also the firmware updater tells me it's on 1.110.104.x. x being a random number between -100 to 100 and its different every time. Unplugging it & plugging it back in makes no difference.

This is what I've found when I had issues.. I have Vista 32bit, I have my monitor plugged in as you would, then the VR920 in the other plug. I needed to setup as a clone, 640x480 or 800x600 make sure the VR920 is set at 60hz. For some odd reason with my white screen I didn't realize that the pc set the visor to 63hz. Only 60hz which Im sure you know of. Or just plug it in and only use the Vr920 as the only monitor, maybe your already doing this! Running the Iwear software and then plug in the USB. See if you get a desktop screen, see this is why I use another monitor and clone them, it's just easier to test things out and working in 3D as well causes no issues. Hope any of this works and that ur VR920 isn't broke..

Gl..

I've been using it at 60hz, I've tried it as the solo "monitor" and the bios screen doesnt show up (it stays blue). I've tried it at 640x480,800x600,1024x768 with and without the DVI connector (my laptop has a standard vga connector). Always the same thing.

edit: also clone/extended even tried the custom resoloutions thing in NVidia config to see if another sync method was any good.

Okay, it seems to be working now, I did read one post about vr920's that have been in storage for a while needing to be used a bit to get them working properly. No idea why this would be the case.

It does have tearing in 3d mode, but Ill have a play with using it as the primary(only) monitor & see how it goes.

Also, thanks for the suggestions
