| VR enthusiasts, hello! I've recently added native VR920 support to my homemade first-person shooter, Le Cauchemar. It's not a finished game yet, more of a weird-looking tech demo:
The VR920 stereo is working nicely (off-axis, deep and weighty). I've defaulted the head-tracking to pitch+roll only, because for some reason I cannot get sensible yaw values from my VR920... There is an option in-game to enable the yaw, but it might be reversed yaw, I really can't tell If you want to give it a spin, the download is at http://download.programmerart.org and it includes full source code too. There's more info in the release notes on that download page. I hope it works as well for you as it does for me! (or better, actually, since I have no yaw). I recommend enabling the "VR920 max speed" option if you have a fast PC. The game can be switched to English from the main pause menu. Please let me know if you encounter any difficulties, or if the default stereo settings don't feel just right Cheers, phil |
