| | If one were to do this, what format should the video be recorded using? (I mean like Anaglyph, Over/Under, Side by Side etc...) Also, has anyone used http://www.3dcombine.com/ ("3DCombine allows you to create 3D photos and videos from 2D ones and output them in any 3D format you want.") (Just have to say, the glasses are pretty cool...still tweaking them a bit for gaming use, but with the use if the iZ3D drivers, ALL my games so far work.. Farcry 2, Bioshock, FEAR, Fallout 3, Crysis...Just having issues figuring out glovePIE for tracking...) |

| You should be using interlaced 3D for the AVxxx series. For both the VR and AV series you may use StereoMovie Maker which is freeware and available at:
http://stereo.jpn.org/eng/stvmkr/
To shoot 3D video just use 2 identical camera's at about 10cm distance. Use the StereoMovie Maker software to align and synchronise.

| Partechie, if you want to make 3D for the VR920, you'd probably want to grab our SDK; this will help you create VR920-friendly 3D. You can get the SDK here: http://www.vuzix.com/support/downloads_drivers.html.

| | Back again, after more research... I ripped the 2d version, then the 3d version... Using Virtual Dub and a custom filter I removed the red from the 3d version (compression used was Divx6..also made an Xvid version) I was going to use 3D-combine to 'repair' the 3d version with the full color 2d in the left eye and the green/blue version in the right using the repair filter with zero offset so I would now have 2 full color versions and then use stereo movie maker to join them.. My problem.. I can't get 3d combine to open the video files.. I attempted to email the creator (or whoever, used the email from the website) with no response and my trial period is coming to an end... I used Aimersoft DVD ripper to rip it to NTSC MPG, then VDub to AVI (both Divx and Xvid with no red)..Anyone use 3D combine can give me a clue as to why or what I have to do get compatible video that it will open? (I have Power DVD, Divx 6, Xvid installed on an other wise totally clean vista home premium install) |
