| Will there be DVI-D support in the future?
Digital DVI instead of Analog? |

| Its quite simple:
1280x720 res or 920 x 540 (50% or 1080p resolution) Native
Internal image scaler for more supported resolutions (720x480 - 1920 x 1080)
DVI / HDMI input with passthru so you can keep your monitor / TV hooked up
HDCP support for devices requiring it (Blu Ray, PS3, PCs, etc)
75 - 120hz support to use nVidia's new 3D driver and future 3d products (Blu Ray movies, PS3).
Increased FOV
Nose pads better for adjusting
OLED or high end LCD for a crisp color / black level
Amazing optics that don't blurr the image at the edges |

| | get rid of the screen entirely, display on the "glasses" surface, the actual curved surface of the "glasses", Utilize a chip programmed to translate for the radius variation of surface difference. Use coatings on interior and exterior of glasses to enable capture or photon radiance, This gets rid of bulk and the "me too" standard of bolting together existing science..invent something better than another "mousepad" so to speak. Reduction in mass and space volume by a factor of 5x for the componets is the only way to make big catchups on competion (from the simple aspect of name recognition), those competators willing to spend more and cannot see to afford a business model but still spending multiple times what this company is in the developemental stages.
How do you know it's reality? |

| Suggestions:
1. Allow for eye width with an adjustment to move the viewing area closer together or further apart. Also an adjustment for the physical vertical positioning of the screen once the glasses are seated in their normal position.
2. Put the screen closer to the viewing area so that it appears a lot larger and reduces the binocular effect. This would also help with computer screens and thus make the miniture text readable.
3. Thumbwheel for focus.
4. Larger nose clips and made of soft silicone to keep the glasses in position.
5. Clean up background ghosting of icons on PC screens in media player and games.
6. Much longer VGA and USB cables, preferably both 3m long to put the control box on the desk when the tower case is under it.
ULTIMATELY: (as drmaddogs suggested)
A much better way of doing it (and what I actually expected from these glasses) would be to project the image onto the lens of normal glasses from a projector mounted just beside each eye, making the entire lens a screen rather than just a tiny rectangle. Yes, the angle would have to be taken into account to prevent the screen being bigger on one side than the other but I'm sure there is a cure for that.
This would also allow for the lenses to be electronically darkened using liquid crystal in a vertical gradient to allow the keyboard to be visible below or completely tinted to watch a movie or play games, thereby completely blacking out the background. This also allows for a much larger visible screen which can take up your entire field of view and completely remove the binocular effect. The larger screen would allow higher PC screen resolutions, Wide screen view and much clearer text. More range for focus on each eye would negate the need for prescription glasses to be worn since the focus would take into account the need for +3 magnification in one eye and +2 in the other for example.
Electronic darkening gives the ability to watch a movie and keep the lenses only slightly tinted so that you can also see what is going on in the room around you. With an I-Pod or other mobile player, you can walk around, make coffee and so on while you are watching a movie at the same time. If a substance that reacts to daylight could completely blacken the lens, it would prevent people watching movies while out on the street as crossing roads etc could be dangerous. However, a warning should suffice. (Darwin will soon sort out those who ignore it.) |
