| | To those who asked, it is tricky to wear the VR920 over glasses. The problem is the nose-piece. It sticks out too much far forward (about 7mm), and definately doesn't reach your nose (it is about 2cm above your nose). At first, I thought the nose-piece couldn't be removed or adjusted in any way. The manual says: "To adjust the nose bridge grasp it and pull it away from the face of the visor. The nose bridge should be comfortable and positioned so that the lenses are aligned with your eyes." Which wasn't very clear. I tried pulling on it and all that happened was the rubber covering started to come off. It turns out that if you pull hard enough on the nosepiece, being careful to grab the plastic bit underneath rather than just the rubber covering, then the nosepiece will slide out on two rails. You can then remove it and turn it upsidedown. Unfortunately that improves the situation, but doesn't fix the problem. the nosepiece still doesn't go down far enough. You have to get a rubber band and tie some foam, or folded up tissue onto the bottom of the nosepiece. You may also want to turn the nosepiece upside-down even if you don't wear glasses. I'm short sighted, so anything 9 feet away, like the virtual screen in this, is just a blurry smear without glasses. If you are long-sighted then it might work for you without glasses. |

| | OK, I found a partial solution... wearing the entire HMD upside-down. Wearing it upside-down causes it to actually sit on my nose properly. Although it is a little bit uncomfortable because the sharp edge digs into my nose. |

| | OK, I'm now wearing it the right way up with a folded up tissue on my nose. It mostly works, except I can't wear it like this in public. I'm getting (monoscopic) ghosting, I don't know if that is due to my prescription glasses, or if it is normal. Also the earphones don't really reach my ears, I can only bend them to be near my ears, not over or in them. But maybe that is by design. Also the weight is a bit further forwards, which Anyway, I've been trying it out for a few hours now, and I think I like it again. If I didn't need glasses then I would love it lots. I had a go at Need For Speed with the TrackIR emulation, and it felt great being able to look around. |

| You can in fact remove the nosepiece by pulling hard enough. Worked for me. Also you can then put it back in as far as you want.
EDIT: Btw, however I tried to bend the earpieces I could not get those to sit in my ears well, so I removed them. I have better headphones and speakers anyway |

| | What does removing the nosepiece mean? Just the rubber sleave thing? I don't understand how you can push it back in. |

| | Ok, I tried pulling harder, and trying to pull the plastic thing under the sleave not just the rubber sleave, and much to my surprise it did actually come out rather than snapping off and breaking. I then turned it upside down and put it back in. Unfortunately it is still too high and doesn't reach my nose even when upside down. so I will have to try something else. |

| Well for me it's a bit better, it does rest on my nose. Thing is it seems to me that it rests too low on it, a bit higher gives me better images but it won't stick there |

| | I tied a bundle of rubber bands to the bottom of the nosepiece, and that helped. |

| | You'd think that a company that spends so much on R&D.... would come up with a method of using such a device for the entire audience instead of just those select few without vision issues!! Sure I'd love to give these new fangled things a whirl with my fav games... but I'm not gonna shell out the $400 USD for something that can only be used when I am not wearing my glasses and thus become virtually totally blinded. Duh!! If the company were to say have an option of having some form of corrective lenses built into the unit itself or attached to the unit, then and only then would I seriouslu consider purchase. (Chances of the company actually considering anything posted here... who knows what the future will bring)
...everything that has a beginning, has a horrible hell like ending... |

| | Don't worry! There is a new nosepiece coming in October that fixes all the problems! I am able to use the VR920 now with my glasses by tying a folded tissue to the bottom of the nosepiece. And it is good. So glasses wearers, have no fear. We have not been abandoned after all. |

| Not abandoned at all. We've always tried as hard as possible to make sure that people who wear glasses (like half the people who work for Vuzix do) are able to wear our products comfortably. With the VR920, we've run into more people than ever before who've had comfort issues, and we've been working very hard to meet your needs. Although problems may exist right now, please never fear that we'll leave you out in the cold.
