| | Well what can i say, after being so excited waiting to get it, what a big disapointment. The concept is there but in my opion it just don't work, on any thing from flight sims or fps shooters you just can't see enough for it to be any good if you have to keep looking at your monitor to see what your setting up cant be good, unless my eye's are that bad.Every time you plug the usb in, it knocks your speakers out, there's no choice as far as i can see to switch it over between the 920 & desktop speakers. When i look through my 920 it look's like i got a couple of black breeze blocks down the sides with a tiny screen, i say tiny because you cant read nothing from it, I gave my Bro ago and he sumned them up quiet well, You've paid £200 + for a pair of glasses that dont do much, the best was the 3D pictures of the website ! |

| | In Windows XP, go to Control Panel > Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices > Sounds and Audio Devices > Audio tab. Then you can choose which device to play the sounds through. You can also choose which device to use for microphone input. I can't remember the steps on Vista, because my Vista laptop is being repaired, but there will be a similar method on Vista. Change the resolution to 800x600 if you have trouble reading text. If you still have too much trouble reading text (you shouldn't, 800x600 is easy to read), change it to 640x480. If you have trouble reading the 3D guages in flight simulators or driving simulators, lower the FOV. You have head tracking now, so a lower FOV won't stop you from seeing anything. If you have trouble reading text in other games, changing the game resolution to 640x480 will often make the text bigger. |

| | Cheers for that carl, some good pointers there but for me still don't feel that right, you pay all this money for a semi decent graphics card, monitor etc just to drop all your settings, i think as AV unit it works well but for a gaming unit add on it just dosen't cut it ...but hey thats just me i suppose......cheers carl |

| | On Vista just right click the speaker icon near the clock and choose "Playback Devices". |

| Setting up the VR920 is not exactly plug-and-play depending on your setup. The audio stuff can be configured in the windows control panel under audio devices (so it will default to the one you want). Make sure the iWear monitor is running and recognizes the game you are trying to play. Some games may have to be patched to get the stereo 3d and headtracking. Spend some time configuring the headtracking properly. You may also be able to update the firmware which helps with compatibility. Double-check all this stuff to make sure you are using the device to the full potential.

| I agree that there are 2 annoying "cinderblocks" on each side of the screen.
I only used a VR920 for a few hours but this was kinda distracting. |

They are referring to how you can see the black casing of unit around the image, sorta like the frame of a small window. Its still a 4:3 display, its not widescreen. This was kinda annoying at first, but I've learned to live with it. Its not so bad once you get 10-15 minutes into playing and get lost in the game. Also, I've got the immersion shield and it does help reduce distractions. I highly recommend that everyone pick one up. I don't know why they didn't pack it in with the unit.
