| This is certainly an interesting thread, but unfortunately it title is very misleading, likely due to a popular misconception of what "Native Support" is.
Native Support is where code to enable use with an iWear VR920 is written directly into the application. In this style of implementation the program's author has direct control over all aspects of the stereoscopic display and head-tracking, specific to the needs of their program and what they wish to accomplish.
What is being discussed here is support enabled through our iWearMonitor. This is "after the fact" enablement through iWearMonitor Extensions that hook into applications using a variety of method and resulting in a range of quality implementations. Some are nearly as good as true native mode support while others are less so. In general, this does not provide the same level of quality and flexibility as true Native mode Support.
Applications containing Native Mode Support do not require the presence of the iWearMonitor nor any hooks into the program. You simply run the application and your iWear VR920 works. The choice of automatically enabling support for the iWear Vr920 or requiring a user to enable that support through options settings selection is up to the application's author. Most tend to sense the iWear's presence and automatically enable its support features.
Vuzix actively encourages developers to include Native Mode Support, as that provides the best results. Where that is not happening or happening fast enough for our iWear customers, we try to add support through an iWearMonitor Extension. If you, the user, want to see more titles coming out with true and superior Native Mode Support, you have to let the authors of your programs know that that is what you want. |

| I don't think anybody was being misleading. The games listed here are games that are natively supported by the Vuzix-stereo driver (as opposed to the generic nvidia 3d driver). Not which games natively support the VR920. Each of the games on the official supported list were added specifically by Vuzix so that is considered native support. Other games based on the same engines may work, but only using the iWear Monitor of course. There are no commercial games that I know of that support the VR920 built-in. You always need drivers of some sort. That goes for just about any product on the market, so I'm not sure how thats relevant. Obviously it would be best if game developers would code support for all this stuff, but you can't really fault Vuzix for that.

| | Well, I'm planning on writing our own tool to create/manage games for use with iWear.. I'm thinking of putting all needed config settings and information in one ini file per game.. and from that the tool will be able to do everything (or at least tries) that's needed, almost the same as iWearmonitor does when you add a game to the supported list.. but because all information is stored in 1 ini file per game you just need to put the ini file into a folder where the tool is looking for it's settings and you have another game added.. this way you can ofcourse swap ini files anyway you like.. the tool will ofcourse have some sort of editing mode which lets you create new settings.. Also if there are other files needed there will be a need for a subdirectory.. It will be created in VisualBasic6 (for now).. Since vuzix isn't telling/responding to anything these days I wonder what they are up to on the part on extending the support of their vizor, like what they are doing with the iWearMonitor etc.. So I would hope they will at least give a sign of life.. hehe.. |

| | ipd_view is thing you need to change to get good eye separation. i find 4.0 is biggest i can use. Instead of nvidia drivers where near plane gets same pictures and far objects separated, native drivers do vice versa - near objects give biggest separation, while far - same picture. That's why you looking one monitor with two eyes, when in glasses each one got their own screen centered. So therefore using nvidia drivers isn't correct, but can be adjusted like-native, since got lots of config options |

| Sniper Elite works with player and some objects in stereo, bullet cam not working properly. Did a quick test only - will try to tune the cfg file after work.
Painkiller not working. No success with Thief 3 either (though it's UT engine, I think).
Edit: Tried several settings in Sniper Elite and Method=1, (IPD_View=8.40,IPD_Menu=0.050,Manual_VSync=0,Locking=0,QueryGPU=1,LogFile=1,AutoIPD=1, ExpMax=0.11, ExpRate=0.001, ExpPoint=2.0) looked best to me. Battlefield 1942 looks similar and headtracking in Thief 3 is now working, but still no stereo.
Tron 2.0 working with double crosshairs. (Method=1, IPD_View=1.40,IPD_Menu=.020,Manual_VSync=0,Locking=0,QueryGPU=1,LogFile=1,AutoIPD=0, ExpMax=0.11, ExpRate=0.001, ExpPoint=2.0) |

| Assassins Creed working perfectly with this settings:
Method=7, IPD_View=0.18,IPD_Menu=1.100,Manual_VSync=0,Locking=0,QueryGPU=1,LogFile=0,AutoIPD=0,ExpMax=0.11, ExpRate=0.001, ExpPoint=2.0
its like living HD dream. |

| Hello people; Melanor will you kindly explain to me exactly what you do for getting at least STALKER working in stereo?
I am doing what you say in this post but tohe only effect is that the visor goes to stereo mode and the right or left image only seems to show the blue colours channel in random frames but no differences above that between the two images.
Stalker would rock now in S3D.
Best regards |

That's +1 (me) begging... BTW, since S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky hit the shelves, the first part goes for €10 in Germany. |
