| Znith (3/6/2008) I am mainly concerned about the working Vuzix native stereo titles since I own an 8800GTS. Any clues to what they are.. only could see maybe 12 or so listed in the instruction pdf.
There are more than 40 titles with 3D stereo that will work with 8800. I have constructed a list of those titles and it will be posted on the VR920 product page on our website in the next few days.
It should also be noted that what is needed to view 3D Stereo with virtually any make or model of graphics card (32-bit XP or Vista) is Vuzix 3D Stereo Driver support, which may or may not be a "native mode" implementations. I believe "native mode" and "iWear Extension" support for Vuzix 3D Drivers are misunderstood. Both enable 3D Stereo with virtually any make or model of graphics card in 32-bit XP or Vista, but they are different.
Native Mode Vuzix 3D Stereoscopic support is where Vuzix 3D Stereo Drivers support is written directly into an application. This support method offers the greatest quality and performance potential as programmers have direct control over how its configured can adapt on the fly. This method has only been available for a very short period of time (since firmware update) so there are only a few of these titles currently available. As new titles get finished and existing ones revised, the number or titles with "native mode support" will increase.
Most of the titles currently supporting Vuzix 3D Stereo Drivers do so through an iWear Extension. Although this method of support enables the "any graphics card" capability, it does not provide the same level of control and quality. Although the 3D quality can be spectacular and better than prior 3D display systems, it has limited potential when compated to true "native mode" support. |

| | Good news about the update, still no support for 64-bit Vista? This was mentioned in the announcement sent by Jon a few weeks ago. I quote, regardless of OS or GFX graphics card. How much longer do I have to wait before I will have a 64-bit compatible device. Many Thanks

| | Actually there are only 33 games with native stereo (including AssaultCube). iWearMonitor lists 40 games, but only the first 32 have "(VuzixStereo)" next to them. The remaining 8 are the games that Vuzix already added tracking support to, but have been unable to add native stereo to yet. You need nvidia 7xxx or below on XP or below to get those 8 games to work in stereo. The 8 tracking but nvidia-stereo-only games are: World Of Warcraft, Second Life, xPlane, Quake 4, F.E.A.R., Supreme Commander, Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance, and Quake Wars Enemy Territory. I haven't been able to get Portal to work yet though. It just crashes silently on startup (after the guy with the valve in his head) if I have the vuzix driver enabled. I will try changing the graphics settings in the game and seeing if that helps. By the way, Second Life now works (tracking only, it is one of the 8), I couldn't get it to work in the previous version, but they fixed it. By the way, the stereo games do not all support tracking. All the flight simulator games except microsoft combat flight simulator support tracking. None of the Source engine games have tracking except Half Life 2 Deathmatch. For games that don't have tracking you can use GlovePIE. |

Counter-Strike:Source also works with head tracking, but its not as smooth as some other titles.
