| | i think it would be nice to have like a velcro head strap like u see on things like motorcross glasses and skiing glasses . the design it has atm is not practical , as u will notice when buying a pair of sun glasses there r many styles to choose from as no 2 ppl have the exact shaped head , i myself will try maybe 10 to 20 different styles before finding one that is a good fit , motorcross/ skiing glasses userly have the same style of strap , and it would not pinch above your ears, in addition to this u would need to add a new nose peice with out the little grooves "teeth" that bite your nose and make u look like u have been shot inbetween the eyes "after using the iwear for a good 30 mins i get a bright red mark on my nose and its quite painful. another idea is to have a firmware reset function like a router does , well my router does anyway u simply poke a pin in a tiny hole to push the button and its back to factory settings this would save alot of ppl getting bricked devices |

| | +1 After some time i removed buildin earphones, and earstraps (dunno how it named), then i got new headphones weared over head (not separate ones, fixed together), so now i fix my glasses to headphones with iron (or whatever that flexible stick called) so glasses not sit on my nose at all. Belt i good idea, but it must be 1)adjustable 2)fixed, so when you turn your head glasses won't change position. There must be asap a way to adjust height of glasses, and width of head. My one is big enough, and eyes not on same height, so to see clearly my glasses need to be placed by some angle. Also distance between eyes not same, some people who have "wide" eyes will have problems using this glasses. Most problems of "dark colors" and "not 16 millon" are because of that. If you not place eyes in some precalibrated place where light focuses, you won't be able to read, see dark colors and gamma is not rich. |

I think your modification is an excellent idea... gets the weight off your nose! Did you mean that you used a hot glue gun to affix the glasses to your headphones?
I've wondered for a long time why no HMD manufacturer has used the "form factor" you suggest. Until the HMD truly is as light as a pair of glasses, it's going to be awkward to have on your face, especially when you're moving your face around.
People are already accustomed to using headphones, so "piggy backing" the display on them seems like a natural fit. No more forehead pads or nose pads (leaving a hot sore red mark) or clamping the HMD to your head. No more instant headache (from just the housing, not even from eye-strain)!
I think Sony tried to do this once for the Playstation. Who knows what ever happened to this?:
...but maybe someone has a design patent on this configuration? That's my only answer to what seems like a great idea being ignored. It looks like you can slide the displays forward/back, and even pivot the displays to raise them up above your eyes without removing the HMD. Looks very adjustable & solid. Oh well. |

| yeah nice idea but then u loose the second sound card function which is a great thing to have , also when i tryed using my larger headphones the magnets interfered with the tracking , so u would need an expensive sheilded pair of headphones. im thinking of buying a fighter pilot helmet and fixing it all onto that since i only use it for flight sims and ive already got half a cockpit made  |

That looks like a really cool design. I would have bought that if it actually came out. Why don't other companies jump on this?

| | Not hot glue, a flexible thinga, like used to fix cables together when you buy hardware. Same used in antiseptic masks to make it tight to nose  .
4-5 of those fixed together is long enough. And if you don't like position of glasses you can adjust it easily and it will fix in new position. |
