| well dude, no worries.
your recommendation was like extra safety check. i had to try it sooner or later anyway. i guess i will try to call vuzix TS on monday. i can provide them with RDS to machine that i used for update with connected goggles, if they would like to. firmware is a familiarly dirty word for me too...
