Noticed the exact same tracking issue where my yaw was about 50 degrees left of center. Also, my image became very poor in quality (low luminesence, washed-out look, minor horizontal streaks). That may be a different issue though. I also noticed that the Escape menu doesn't appear unless I click the mouse cursor on the otherwise frozen screen.

Have been using v2.4 since I got them, so I don't know if an ealier version would solve it.

RE: Zero Set Not Seeming to Work

So, it seems that the center problem appears in FSX too. So Vuzix staff will correct this in the new release I suppose, as they always do ;)

RE: Zero Set Not Seeming to Work

Same here in FSX, I'm most of the times off by 30 degrees in either direction. It isn't persistant. In a few (actually one) odd cases, it had a proper alignment.

RE: Zero Set Not Seeming to Work

I'm having the same problem, I think. I face forward, hit SET ZERO, and it zeros out. Then in FSX, I'm looking over my left shoulder at the back of the plane. I have to face 105 degrees away from the monitor to see the instruments.

Is there anyway to fix this? If not... Is there any way to turn head tracking off?

RE: Zero Set Not Seeming to Work

Is the same problem I reported to support last month after my update of the software bundle from 2.3 to 2.4.

In game, the zero values is not the same as in calibrator software. So, in GlovePIE, we can see that the zero is not set correctly. I was oblige to center in all software, but in the ones which uses the calibrator software and native headtracking, there is a mistake.

If I use the older version of the software (2.3), all is ok. But with 2.4, not zero setting is possible. (only the calibrator have good value).

RE: Zero Set Not Seeming to Work

Yes, I understand and I do this. However, the Yaw value reported in the iWear monitor doesn't appear to zero at the same Yaw location. This also seems to be the same for FSX, the Yaw is just not zeroing to where I'm zero setting. It's almost like the zero set doesn't even work. I've tried looking in different directions and zero setting after calibration but this doesn't not seem to change the zero direction I'm looking at in FSX.

RE: Zero Set Not Seeming to Work

You are supposed to Set Zero when you are sitting comfortably, and facing forward (whichever direction that should be). In other words, the moment you click 'Set Zero,' the position your head is in becomes 'front and center.' If you set your zero point, and then move, you'll no longer have an accurate calibration.

Zero Set Not Seeming to Work

Hi,

I've gone through the forum posts with finding someone complaining of a similar issue but no answer as to a solution. So I thought I'd start a new post.

I'm having a problem where it doesn't seem to record where I set the zero set. I'll face east and zero set, or face south and zero set, but when I pull up the monitor the Yaw values turn zero at the same yaw angle (south-east). I'm annoyed because it's tracking great except not seeming to zero set properly.

By the way, I'm not sure if there is a correlation to where you use zero set and where zero Yaw is reported by the manager. I only notice that where zero Yaw is reported in the monitor is where dead-center is in FSX.

Thanks for any help!
