That is the best and wise way, if you wait for Nvidia, windows Vista will be dead when a decent forceware driver will be out for these pseudo supermarket OS, they make bad driver each releases they are more buggy even for XP or 2003 i don't think they could have something stable in 1 year cause they are on more than 6 months and nothing better, worse and worse, they write code like microsoft made ME 2007 (Vista) with their foots...... that's normal they already have big profits, now they don't move theire a.. :cool:

So keep the good way and don't count on them. :D

Vuzix and nVidia have no official business relationship. And, commenting on things that are solidly in the sphere of control of another company can be tricky business. I will, however, give this example, hoping that it sheds some light on the situation.

Well I guess I'll take that as a no since there's no official reply. It's a shame though because to really enjoy an hmd you need stereo 3D, IMO.

Yes a drivers or a hook would be welcome cause in new games like Dirt or Graw2 even with a lot of details off games are unplayables with old gfx cards, even limit with 8800 too with all options on, so i don't think my 7600 gt would be usable in the near future cause devellopers uses more and more effects, they start to go near from 8.1 directx maximum :D , for dx9.0c i suspect games to come in one or two years, dx10 :cool: i hope never or may be on winXP but without me on Vistcrap, would be cool they use Opengl or direct engine programming instead of these heavy dx10 librarys. We could have a hope on Iz3d drivers, cause may be they will make an universal driver, for Nvidia the only things they can do it's playing games and make profiles in drivers, and from now make a lot of profits without moving their big fat *** for making a decent driver, it look like a lot of USA products sellers abuse in ads they sell a product not fully functionnal and they lies about in advertising......:cool:

With Nvidia they offer us moon with a spoon :D

Yeah, some real 8800 stereo drivers would be grand. I have already ordered a VR920, but I'm partially dreading getting it, because I'm either going to have to downgrade my video card altogether, or I'm going to try using two different cards, switching between them depending on if I want to use stereo or not.

I'm kind of expecting my computer to blow up if I try the second option, though I've seen at least one case of someone doing it successfully: [url]http://forums.vr920.com/Topic9-7-1.aspx[/url] He's using a 7600 and an 8800.

I'm curious to know if Vuzix is working or pressuring Nvidia in any way shape or form to get them moving on some sort of working stereo 3D driver for 8000 series cards. Many of us have an 8800 card and want (or have) a VR920 but find it some what pointless to use it in gaming without stereo 3D. In reality this is what is holding me back from buying the VR920. I could use it on my second rig with my 6800 but that's a three year old card and it's become extrememly slow for new games. Heck I'd just be happy if it was 8800 and XP drivers right now.

I would fathom a guess that if the 8000 series cards worked with S-3D that you guys would sell more product too :D
