If the support for vr920s is so bad, why would it be any better for anything else?

As I said, maybe I'm just being naive, but I would be nice if anyone else shared my perspective?

RE: Problems with iZ3D driver
ds445 (1/22/2011)
Sorry for venting; like I said, I'd be most grateful if someone could give me some pointers on how to get this up and running - has anyone actually seen the iZ3D in action with the VR920? It seems it would work fine, except you set the 3D mode on with the OSD the picture just freezes teasing you with a lovely static 3D image.
1. This is because there is none "VR920 eye-switching" sync signal from iZ3D at this time, it only switch the eye-perspectives, but gives no signal to glasses.
2. Why? Try not to use iWear native drivers during this session, I mean reboot PC and launch something with iZ3D right away, without trying to play with something with iWear support. This can help.
metronome (4/17/2011)
What's the point of even bringing out new models of glasses if the current ones don't support any new games, and not exactly that well either..
New model of glasses support side-by-side stereoscopy, and it will be work perfectly with this mode in iZ3D,
also some games can output in side-by-side mode natively, like Avatar or Crysis2 (i think it can, not sure).
metronome (4/17/2011)
Has Vuzix ever discussed working on the iZ3D issue?
Has iZ3D ever working out on this issue?
Thy SELL you the driver, which need to support specific VR920 output mode natively, why it's not working?
Ask iZ3D I guess.

RE: Problems with iZ3D driver

I'm also having trouble with the iZ3D driver. Why can't Vuzix just provide a stereo-3D driver (like the nVidia driver, which I unfortunately can't use because my system is running an ATI graphics card, or the iZ3D driver?)

I don't even know where the main problem here lies - I'm more inclined to think that this is actually a problem with the iZ3D driver as the Stereoscopic Player (which is also a third-party app) works almost flawlessly with most versions of the Vuzix driver, but I'm finding it hard to believe that iZ3D would sell a driver that just doesn't work on any version of the underlying hardware driver... On the other hand, if the provided SDK examples don't even work, perhaps this is a problem more on the Vuzix side?

Sorry for venting; like I said, I'd be most grateful if someone could give me some pointers on how to get this up and running - has anyone actually seen the iZ3D in action with the VR920?
