The day these forums launched, I started out by setting a few ground rules, which are contained just above this post. Over a year passed, and I've never been put in a position where any of those rules had to be enforced; this has been a great community, with amazingly helpful people who have gone out of their way to assist others. I cannot sufficiently express my appreciation. One of the the things I've been very proud of is the fact that we've allowed all members to post freely, with no moderation of posts or posters.

Until now.

Unfortunately, one of our most vocal members of this community has repeatedly broken our rules, and has forced me into 'round the clock, 7 day a week moderation of these forums. Starting with a vicious and completely uncalled for personal attack against one of our members, and degenerating into argumentative and sarcastic posts, this member has forced my hand, and, sadly, I am here to announce that there is a new member level - that of 'Moderated Member.' This member level is going to be utilized as a preemptive measure, before we take more serious steps of banning a member. Nobody will ever be added to the Moderated Members group until an email has been sent directly to you explaining what was found to be improper, and all members will be given an opportunity to reform their actions before any changes will be made. I understand that sometimes we get a bit hot under the collar, or sometimes things just come out wrong. I honestly believe that the vast, vast majority of our members are here to help and be helped, and I want that to continue, in a safe, clean, and honest environment.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post.
