TrackIR is the headtracking which the game supports. It is working, but I just need to tweak a few things. Mainly I need to work out what values correspond to what angles. My current guess seems to only be right for Evochron Alliance and wrong for the others, so I think I will change the current setting, and people can just multiply it by 2 for Evochron.

Of course that doesn't help with the stereoscopic graphics.

Did you try the latest Nvidia stereo driver beta? Don't look on nVidia's site for it. Download it from the download section of http://www.mtbs3d.com You might need to sign up as a member before you can download it. They do this because they think that the more members they have, the more pressure they can put on game developers, nvidia, and microsoft to support stereoscopic 3D. You can enter CarlKenner as the referer if you want.

You will need the latest stereo driver, and also a close version of the ForceWare driver (forceware is just their normal graphics driver). The stereo driver will only install on top of a forceware driver with a similar version number.

If you have a dual-core CPU then you might have problems. You can download a program called nHancer that lets you force the nVidia driver to only use one core. Or you might be able to use some method of switching off one of the cores.

Let us know if that helps your stereo problems.

I'll get the TrackIR emulation uploaded for you soon.

But still... contact the customer support for your game, and ask them to make it work with the VR920. You need to pressure the game companies to support the hardware, and to support stereo.

RE: Add "Aces High II" to the game list

Hello.

Have you tried the GlovePie support for VR920.? This way you can emulate your mouse with the head movements and control in-cocopit camera.

This is the best solution for the games that just need subsitute the mouse controlled view by the VR-920 tracking controlled view. I would say that this is the universal solution. Also you can save profiles for different games in glove pie with the best configuration.
No need of patches for this kind of games.

Out of the simulation genere, is the FPS, where 2 controls are needed, camera & gun.

VR-920 tracking for the head view
Mouse for the gun, aiming

And this yes needs a custom patch.

RE: Add "Aces High II" to the game list

ar :D

RE: Add "Aces High II" to the game list

I have head tracking working in all the named titles I have.............like IL-2, WWC, MS Flight sim....but I coud not get the Vuzix head tracker to work with "Aces High II" There is a head tracker option in game but I tried turning it on and it didn't work.I'm sure if Vuzix sent the designers of the game "High Tech Creations" a few free head sets along with the SDK they would probably get it working or release a patch for the game...........wishfull thinking eh!?

Does anyone else play "Aces High"?

RE: Add "Aces High II" to the game list

Are you saying you already got head-tracking working?

Add "Aces High II" to the game list

I'm from the UK and bought the glasses hoping Vuzix will see the light and add "Aces High II" to the games list. If you don't already know "Aces High" is an online WWII Combat Sim along the same lines as IL-2 but with a much bigger online community. I've been playing the game for about 4 years and play a very active role on the forums. I have everything working other than the stereoscopic aspect, I run an 8600 GTS and there are no drivers available at the moment, however even with the limited usage on the product I am blown away. I will be logging a report on the new eyewear for all to see in the "Aces High" community forum......can you please give me an indication to pass onto the masses as to when you will be adding "Aces High II" to the list?

As most of the customer base for "Aces High II" is in the USA and people have been waiting for an affordable VR product like this.........I can see lots of sales from our community if you added us.

Regards
