What's the deal,

The Kill S[/quote]
If you have a lump of gold in your hand given to you as a present, is it still expensive? At the end of the day it still has a value (particularly of importance when it comes to insurance claims), and again dependent upon your personal income, what is expensive, I put it to you that a VR920 is quite inexpensive to the likes of Mel Gibson, yet completely incomprehensibly expensive for someone with a daily income of 20 cents per week (and yes people in developing third and second world countries do earn that little possibly less).
Off topic but a point non the less.

RE: FIX THE FIRMWARE UPDATE!!!!!

yeah for 2 games but I didnt test it yet so im not sure if they work. :(

RE: FIX THE FIRMWARE UPDATE!!!!!

Stereo support should be working for you, shouldn't it?

RE: FIX THE FIRMWARE UPDATE!!!!!

what about stereo support?

RE: FIX THE FIRMWARE UPDATE!!!!!

Carl is right . . . the newest firmware will be rolled into production, so that after a certain point, all units purchased will have it.

RE: FIX THE FIRMWARE UPDATE!!!!!

Why? Then I would have had to wait months before I could play with a VR920. :(

Unless people wanted it for watching movies, the old VR920 version was still great. And Vuzix had no way of knowing that nvidia would suddenly decide to stop releasing their stereo driver.

I expect Vuzix will sell future units with the new firmware.

RE: FIX THE FIRMWARE UPDATE!!!!!

in the spirit of fairness the vr920 should of been released with the latest firmwire.

RE: FIX THE FIRMWARE UPDATE!!!!!

OK, in the spirit of fairness and accuracy I have modified my original post.

RE: FIX THE FIRMWARE UPDATE!!!!!

Carl got busted! Vuzix is doing the best they can to ensure us a solid product in my mind. 53 per cent of peoples VR worked the first time they installed the update (add one more here as I had no problem). This is of course according to the poll on this site.

Secondly, I notice you refer to your newfound brick as 'expensive.' If I recall a while back you posted something to the effect of getting your 920 for free for doing some work with Vuzix. What's the deal,

The Kill S

FIX THE FIRMWARE UPDATE!!!!!

EDIT:

Here is a suggestion... make a firmware update that doesn't destroy some people's VR920s. That way people will be able to enjoy all the wonderful new features that Vuzix are generously providing to ungrateful people like me.

Now some people have expensive bricks (although Vuzix is obviously sending out replacements as fast as they can), and I have a free brick. Some people have been able to unbrick their VR920s on their own, and some people have a wonderful new version of their VR920 which they are enjoying and have no complaints about.
